Let us consider you have multiple email address in your company and you want all emails to be delivered in a common email id say [email protected] , we use email forwarding feature of cPanel / Webmail.
A copy of one email is sent to another email by using an email forwarder. Email to [email protected] will be delivered to [email protected] by using email forwarder.
You can use a common email id for a company like [email protected] and get this email routed to concerned persons of your organization.
Another advantage is you can forward email received to multiple recipients. All Sales email will be forwarded to multiple recipients of sales and this will be so much helpful in many organizations.
Setting email Forwarder in Webmail provided by TNP HOST
In the below example we will be forwarding all emails received to [email protected] to [email protected]
First login to your panel provided by TNP HOST.
Click on Forwarders
On email account forwarder, click Add Forwarder ( See Below image for reference )
Enter the name of the email from which you want to forward to the email to which you want to forward.
Under destination, Please make sure you choose the radio button “Forward to Email Address”. However in other cases, if you want to Discard the message and send an error you can choose an option ” Discard and send an error to sender ( at SMTP Time).
Forwarding Emails to many Recipients
You will need to setup Email forwarding for multiple recipients to forward an email to multiple recipients.
Note that you can not edit forwarder once you set up. You can only delete email forwarder once you set up.
Similarly, you can set up domain Forwarder by clicking on Domain Forwarder.
